::super snack:: Chai Almonds

One item I almost always have in the snack drawer is raw almonds.  Almonds have numerous health benefits, and contain a ton of nutrients, so they are a guilt free snack too!  Raw almonds, however can get boring.  This weekend I decided to spice things up with some chai inspired almonds for us to snack on.

What You Need:
Step One
1 egg white
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp water
Step Two
2 cups almonds
Step Three
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Ground Ginger
1/2 tsp Ground Cardamom
1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Ground Cloves

Preheat oven to 300 F.  In a medium bowl, whisk together all step one ingredients.  Add the almonds and stir together to make sure they are thoroughly coated.  In a small bowl, whisk together all step three ingredients, making sure they are combined thoroughly.  Mix into almonds.  Spread almonds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.  Bake for 30 minutes, stirring about every 10 minutes.  Allow to cool on parchment paper and store in an airtight container.
